I saw Frozen 2 last night. Let me just say, 10/10 recommend. The songs were AMAZING, but one really stood out to me. I will not give any spoilers, but…. there is one song that Anna sings when a lot of bad things are happening to her. The moral of the song was that when life is hard, you need to focus on the next important step. The next step can be big or small, but you need to make the move forward.
I want to share some of my favorite quotes from the song and explain why they resonate with me.
“I follow you around, I always have. But you’ve gone to a place I cannot find. This grief has a gravity it pulls me down, but a tiny voice whispers in my mind. You are lost, hope is gone, but you must go on and do the next right thing”
There have been a lot of changes in my life recently. I am not going to lie, there have been hard days. But I constantly need to remind myself to take the next step. We need to remind ourselves that small steps forward still get us forward.
“I won’t look too far ahead.
It’s too much for me to take.
But break it down to this next breath.
This next step, this next choice is one that I can make”
Life gets hard. There is not way to get around that. Sometimes it feels hard to focus on what to do next. I want to remind you to take a breath and take a small step. Everything is “figure-out-able.” If you’re having a hard time figuring out the next thing to do, I AM ALWAYS HERE. Love you all. So thankful for you guys (and Frozen hehe)!
